Not So Kynd (CMV.com exclusive!)
With Regicide quickly approaching, now just two days away, edition number seventy-four of Thursday night Genesis was many superstars' last chance to grab some momentum heading into the second annual pay-per-view event. After obtaining a narrow victory over Salvi in a very heated back and forth match-up that saw Kayden Kynra produced as the victor, The BattleBeast was nearly caught off guard by a clearly upset Sal who attempted to ambush Double K after the bell rang. Kynra sawing it coming however and promptly disposed of The Masked Man of Mayhem, tossing him to the outside of the ring where he was then jumped from behind by none other than Nelson Jr., who was making his very unexpected Genesis debut. Kayden looked just as confused as the CMV universe, but Nelson handed Salvi back off to him and so the former Anarchy champion capitalized on the show of . . . Respect, perhaps? Either way, Kynra hammered away at Sal in the corner, then stomping his stomach in, wanting to make sure that his opponent and everyone in the back knows what happens when you try to disrespect him. But The Masked Man didn't stay grounded for long, rising up and driving Double K away, taking his anger out on poor John Cone, as the two shared an intense staredown.
Wanting to send a final warning towards his foe on the path to their collision this Sunday at Regicide, following Jay Davis' loss to International champion, Kaiva, the lights dimmed for but a second and when they returned to life, behind The Rebel stood The Archangel, Marcantel, and without moving a muscle, you could see the fear that he struck into Jay's heart, sending the youngblood running for the hills. But there will be nowhere for him to run to come this Sunday; will the mind games prove to be too much for Davis to handle?
Though neither man was scheduled to compete on the latest edition of Thursday night Genesis, both Nikola Ivanovic and the CMV Light Heavyweight champion, El Jefe, were in the building for the show, and with the two of them set to go at it for the title this Sunday, Nikola was looking to get into his adversaries head. He confronted The Human Fish backstage, getting in his face to reiterate what he said on Twitter at Dark Carnival, that El Jefe had better enjoy his time with the belt because it won't be lasting long. The ARRRIIIBBBAAA Man seemingly didn't take this too well, as he struck at the Serbian, knocking him back twice but that was mistake as Nikola came back harder, opening up a can of whoopass the likes of which have been unseen in CMV until now. Using his size and strength to essentially bully the champ, Ivanovic threw El Jefe into the walls, struck him with a metal briefcase, put him through a wooden table, attacked him with a steel chair, hit him with a DDT onto said chair and finally ended his onslaught by spearing El Jefe into a TV monitor, which ended up exploding and knocking the champion out cold. Nikola was obviously looking for a fight and he sure got it, whilst also severely bettering his odds at walking out of Regicide the Light Heavyweight champion once again . . .
