BattleScars Ending

-Towards the end of the Battle Scars main event-

Dashing
Ziegler is sizing Harvey up! This is for everything!

The Scotsman stalks Harvey, waiting for him to get back to his feet but making sure to stay behind him. As the Psychopath is up Ziegler quickly grabs a hold of his arm and swings him around, jumping and delivering a ripcord knee straight to his face, causing Harvey to crumble to the mat as Ziegler instinctively falls on top of him and hooks the leg.

Dashing
This is it! To keep his place on Fusion, for the Undisputed Championship, Ziegler with the pin!

He’s done it! Jacob Ziegler has done it!

As the ref’s hand hits the mat for the three count the arena erupts in cheers and the Scotsman’s music starts. Ziegler sits up off of Hastings and looks around for a second before it sinks in, he is finally at the top of the mountain. When it hits him he brings his hands up to face and holds them there, overcome with emotion.

The referee goes over to the ropes and collects the title, bringing it over to the Scotsman, having to tap his shoulder to get his attention. As he lowers his hands from his face you can see the tears in his eyes as he simply stares at the championship for a brief moment before reaching out and taking it in his hands, immediately clutching it close to his chest. The referee again taps Ziegler, beckoning him to stand and come to the centre of the ring to raise his arm in victory. Slowly he does stand as Harvey rolls to the outside. As he goes to the centre the referee grabs his wrist and raises it high into the air, holding up the championship in his other hand to the elation of the CMV universe.

After a few moments the referee lets go and exits the ring, allowing Ziegler to celebrate. However the Pride of Fusion falls to his knees again and holds the title close as the fans continue to cheer and clap for him.

Dashing
For almost three years that man has chased that championship, waiting for his opportunity. It didn’t go right for him at Ascendance but he didn’t give up, he kept going and put it all on the line. You can’t help but admire that. Although he and I have never seen eye to eye, I have nothing but respect for that man right now. His boyhood dream has come true, he made it happen. Congratulations to Jacob Ziegler.

As Ziegler gets back to his feet in the ring wiping the tears from his eyes there's another pop from the fans which makes Ziegler take notice as down the ramp comes the former Women's champion and Ziegler’s girlfriend who has been with him through it all, Quinn Belle. As she slides into the ring Ziegler immediately welcomes her in and the two share an embrace. She speaks some words in his ear before letting go and again raising his arm which he this time truly commits to before going over to the corner and climbing the turnbuckle, celebrating. Quinn takes a step back clapping and giving her man the spotlight he deserves.

Dashing
That ladies and gentlemen is Quinn Belle who we used to see all the time in Ziegler’s corner before the women got their own brand. It’s extremely fitting that she-

Before Dashing can finish his thought there is a scuffle heard from his microphone as if he was knocked over and the headset hit the floor. In the ring Ziegler steps down from the corner and steps backwards to the centre of the ring, however from the side sliding in is the man who came so close to winning the Money in the Bank earlier in the night, Pierre Thompson, holding a chair. Quinn spots him but before he has time to warn Ziegler, Pierre viciously smashes the chair off of the back of the Scotsman’s head. With the sickening sound of the steel and Ziegler crashing to the mat the crowd go silent in shock and confusion, as does the music.

Why would Pierre do this, this isn’t like him at all? As if the only one in the arena who is able to react, Quinn hurries over to Ziegler and falls to her knees checking on him, but there’s no response. He is out cold. Pierre still holding onto the chair simply stands ominously over him watching Quinn panic, trying to wake him up. Without giving away any expression on his face, the Big Dog throws the chair down to his feet as the thud scares Quinn who looks up at Pierre. As Pierre takes a step towards Ziegler, Quinn hops up to her and stands in front of Pierre, protecting Ziegler.

The Big Dog smirks and without any hesitation, shoves Quinn down to the side, nearly throwing her out of the ring. Shocked, she brushes the hair from her face and cowers back into the corner only being able to watch as Pierre grabs a handful of Ziegler’s hair and pulls him back to his feet. Clearly still unconscious and possibly seriously injured, Ziegler is unable to stand on his own, leaning on Pierre. Pierre pushes Ziegler back but still with a handful of hair slaps the Scotsman twice hard across the face before effortlessly hoisting Ziegler up and back down, delivering the most vicious Play of the Day he ever has down onto the chair, Ziegler’s body bouncing off the mat as Quinn and the fans watch in horror.

Pierre turns to Quinn still smirking before lifting the Undisputed Championship and putting a foot on Ziegler’s chest and holding it high in the air. This is the last thing we see as the screen fades to black and Battle Scars comes to an end.

(Now think if Pierre had won MitB and weep with me.)
